This course provides an introduction into the way that energy systems will support and underpin the exercise and training athletes undertake. Phil will provide insight on the pathways of each of the systems alongside practical application of how to train it. In addition, he will take you through:

  • What are each of the energy systems
  • How each of the energy systems provide ATP to the working muscles
  • The benefits and limitations of each system
  • How to train each of the energy systems
  • How certain athletes may rely on one energy system more than others
  • How all of the energy systems work together

Upon completion of the course, you will have a better understanding of the how energy systems contribute to exercise performance and the knowledge of how to train each of the systems to improve performance.
